Fengjin FHSS Broadband Transmission System
Industrial FHSS frequency-hopping broadband data link with 130MHz hopping bandwidth, AES256, MIMO, and mesh networking for interference-resistant NLOS/LOS operation.
Technical Specifications
Overview
The Fengjin wireless frequency hopping broadband transmission system is an industrial-grade data link engineered for environments where interference is the norm, not the exception. It uses high-speed FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) across an exceptionally wide 130MHz hopping bandwidth in the 1.400-1.530GHz band, rapidly switching frequencies to evade noise, jamming, and overlapping signals. Every hop lands on a non-repeating channel automatically selected by the system, ensuring consistent link quality even in crowded RF environments.
Unlike consumer Wi-Fi or narrowband telemetry radios, the Fengjin is a true IP-based broadband pipe. It integrates MIMO antenna technology for improved throughput and multipath resilience, supports full-duplex transparent channel transmission, and offers a versatile networking stack — point-to-point, point-to-multipoint (up to 16 nodes per group), mesh, and relay configurations. With CAN bus, RS-485, and TTL interfaces alongside standard Ethernet, it connects directly to industrial controllers, sensors, and cameras without protocol converters.
Key Features
- 130MHz frequency hopping bandwidth: Hopping across a 1.400-1.530GHz span, the system avoids persistent interference by never staying on a single frequency for more than a fraction of a second.
- Industrial IP-based broadband: Fully transparent IP channel with up to 30Mbps Ethernet throughput, supporting TCP/UDP, video streams, telemetry, and industrial protocols without modification.
- Rich networking modes: Point-to-point, point-to-multipoint (up to 16 terminals per group, multiple groups supported), mesh networking (self-forming/self-healing), and relay/chaining for extended coverage.
- Multi-modulation adaptive link: BPSK, QPSK, 16QAM, and 64QAM with adjustable channel bandwidth (1.4/3/5/10/20MHz) — automatically or manually selects the best modulation for current signal conditions.
- Industrial connectivity: RJ45 locking Ethernet (x2), CAN bus (up to 1Mbps), RS-485 (up to 115200bps), and TTL-level serial interface — direct connection to PLCs, motor controllers, encoders, and sensors.
- AES256 encryption: Hardware-accelerated 256-bit AES encryption with LCD-accessible configuration for mission and industrial security requirements.
- Plug-and-play deployment: Pure hardware connection with no software configuration required — power on, antennas attached, and the link establishes automatically.
Technical Highlights
FHSS provides a fundamental advantage over fixed-frequency systems: immunity to narrowband interference. By hopping across 130MHz of spectrum at high speed, the Fengjin system ensures that any given interferer can only affect a tiny fraction of transmitted data, which is corrected by forward error correction without retransmission. The system also supports fixed-frequency mode for scenarios where frequency agility is unnecessary or regulated. The MIMO antenna configuration (1T2R dual external antennas) adds spatial diversity and beamforming gain. Combined with multi-rate QAM modulation that adapts to signal-to-noise conditions, the link maintains maximum throughput under good conditions and gracefully falls back to robust low-rate modulation as range increases or interference appears.
Applications
The Fengjin system is designed for industrial and defense-telemetry applications where reliability under interference is critical. Typical deployments include unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) and unmanned surface vessel (USV) command and control links; robotic platform teleoperation over non-line-of-sight urban terrain; oilfield and pipeline SCADA data backhaul; maritime buoy and vessel-to-shore data links; and temporary perimeter surveillance networks. The CAN bus interface is especially valuable for integration with vehicle automation systems, motor controllers, and sensor arrays commonly found in agricultural, mining, and construction robotics.
Why Choose This System
If your application operates in RF-noisy industrial environments, requires long-range NLOS connectivity for mobile robotics or field sensors, or needs to coexist with other wireless systems without coordination, the Fengjin FHSS system offers a level of interference immunity and link robustness that fixed-frequency and Wi-Fi-based solutions cannot match. Its industrial interfaces (CAN, RS-485) and true IP transparency means it replaces a tangle of dedicated cables and converters with a single wireless pipe.
