Overview

The HD1080PTB is a high-power vehicle-mounted HD wireless video and audio transmission system designed for the most demanding long-range applications. With transmit power adjustable from 10 to 50 W, it provides the highest coverage in the Saidi Xun product line — airborne range up to 130 km, maritime reach of 20-60 km, and urban NLOS penetration of 5-20 km. Unlike conventional one-way video transmitters, the HD1080PTB integrates full-duplex voice intercom and full-duplex bidirectional data communication (RS232/RS485), allowing command centers to talk back to field units and exchange telemetry without a second radio.

The system is built around COFDM modulation with H.264 encoding at full HD 1080P resolution (1920 x 1080), delivering studio-quality video over narrowband air channels of 2/2.5/4/8 MHz. Technical Highlights

The HD1080PTB's COFDM core provides exceptional resilience against frequency-selective fading and narrowband interference. In single-carrier digital microwave systems, a single fading event or interference source can collapse the entire link. In COFDM, only a small subset of subcarriers is affected, and those can be fully corrected using forward error correction (1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 selectable) and guard interval adjustment (1/32, 1/16, 1/8, 1/4). The operating frequency is customizable from 200 MHz to 4400 MHz, with a separate optional voice channel in the 130-238 MHz range. System latency is 300 ms end-to-end, and video bitrate is configurable from 1 to 9.9 Mbps.
